ABOUT SMOOTH GULF COAST RADIO… This station originally began as a hobby for Ray Bixler , a seasoned radio professional who had left the craft in 2000 because of burn out. Ray loved radio, but like many people, a break was in order. The station began being assembled in November of 2025. Ray already had the music library, and the internet broadcasting elements were assembled. Dozens of format variants and a good deal of critical listening was involved. The station began to take shape in spring of 2026. What you hear now is a result of those efforts. Voices heard on Smooth Gulf Coast Radio are AI voices. Special thanks to elevenlabs, for their creativity and fluidity in their voice creations. Our air staff includes the following AI voices: Mamma-Mia (AI voice: Sarah) - When we were auditioning voices, we loved the way she said “Mamma-Mia” . Julie Belle (AI voice - Arabella) - we liked her because we could make her kind of ditzy. Like many of the people we have known in radio over the years. Hanna (AI Voice- Hannah) - she’s the girl that just arrived here and even with all her “Australian” slang, she’s the girl all the guys want to date. Anna Belle (AI Voice - Juniper) She reminds me of a girl that I knew in St. Louis radio, very smart, just doin’ her job, like a pro. Ray Bixler (creator and producer) My voice after leukemia and oral surgery is sadly worn out. I took a 25 year old commercial I had done and simply cloned it. It reflects what I sounded like in my prime and on it! MUSIC - every piece of music we play is Non A1 (as far as we know) We are regularly distributed to by known radio music promotion agents.
